Start Your Journey with Beacon & Burgundy Travel
This position is best suited for individuals who are passionate about travel and excited to build a client base through their personal and professional networks. These questions help us learn more about your experience, communication style, and approach to client service.
Why Join Beacon & Burgundy Travel?
We plan travel within a deliberately narrow set of specialties—cruising, the Caribbean and Mexico, theme parks and Europe and global destinations.
Because doing everything usually means doing nothing particularly well.
Our advisors don’t skim the surface. They build real expertise—by region, by travel style, by product—and that’s where the value is. You’ll receive focused training, ongoing mentorship, and the backing of a team that takes specialization seriously. We collaborate, we compare notes, and we expect you to keep learning—because this industry doesn’t reward standing still.
What Are We Looking For?
There’s no single “type,” but the advisors who do well here tend to have a few things in common:
- They know their niche beyond the obvious—cruise lines, regions, or travel styles they can speak to with confidence
- They care about how people travel, not just where they go
- They communicate clearly, set expectations early, and aren’t afraid of a little honesty
- They’re self-directed and comfortable building something of their own
- They connect easily with people—and remember that relationships are the business
- They already know people who travel (or people who should stop overthinking it and just book)
- They’re comfortable making recommendations—and just as comfortable saying, “that’s not the right fit”
This Role May Not Be Right for You If…
- You’re looking for a structured, clock-in/clock-out kind of job
- Selling makes you uncomfortable (this is, in fact, a sales role)
- You’re hoping for a steady stream of handed-off clients
- Networking feels forced or transactional to you
- Details slip through the cracks, or communication tends to lag
Program Fees
- Annual Fee: $250, due at the end of January each year (prorated for new hires)
- General training to sell travel and specialized training in your niche: A one-time fee of $300, which is an investment in your career.
